History of Technology in Mathmatics

Bring equations to life.

  1. I like the caption you used for the graphing calculator. I also chose the graphing calculator as an influential piece of technology in math. Bringing equations to life is exactly what the graphing calculator can do. It can do all the normal functions of a basic calculator, but plugging in values for x and y on the chart can create graphs of equations. These graphs help math students to visualize the equation. It can also help to find x-intercepts, y-intercepts, maximums, minimums, and more. The idea of bringing math to life sounds fun and I agree that the graphing calculator has the ability to do that.

  2. I love your caption, bring equations to life is exactly what a graphing calculator does. It allows students to see what an equation can look like as a graph, and it gives them a better understanding on what an equation really is.
